SLS 2025 – for non Dutch participants

Entry conditions

The 61st SLS will be held from Wednesday 27 August to Saturday 30 August 2025. The start will be on Wednesday morning from Parc Hotel Alvisse in Luxembourg and the finish will take place on Saturday 30 August in Scheveningen. The regulations SLS 2025 as well as the bulletins to be issued will apply.

Registration for SLS 2025 is subject to the following conditions of participation:

Car

You can participate in SLS with a good classic (sports) car whose ‘date of first admission’ is before 31 December 1976. An exception is made for teams that are admitted through the 33-Club. They may participate in a car that is not younger than 1990. Of course, all participants must comply with all legal provisions of the country where the car is registered.

Throughout the rally, each crew member must have valid third party liability motor vehicle insurance, and must be insured for participation in regularity rallies, including manoeuvrability tests. The geographic area of coverage must include: The Netherlands, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. It is the crew members’ responsibility to arrange this insurance or extension to their existing insurance policies.

Analogue or digital devices fitted or standard in the vehicle for determining direction and/or measuring distance, speed or time (whether or not equipped with the ability to measure average speed) are permitted. This equipment may be (semi-)mechanical, electronic, GPS-controlled. The use of fixed or mobile navigation equipment is not permitted. During the event, this equipment (e.g. mobile phones, smart watches, tablets, laptops, navigation systems) may not be present in the passenger area.

Entry

Registration is possible from 8 December 2024, exclusively via the registration module on www.slsclassic.nl. Registration closes on December 31, 2024 or as soon as the maximum number of 185 crews has been reached. After that, the organization will determine by drawing lots which 155 crews will be admitted.

Classes

You can register for the SLS 2025 in the following classes:

Touring class for crews with little rally experience.  Have you ever finished in the top 10 of the Touring class? Then you are advised to register in the Sporting class.

The Sporting class is intended for more experienced teams. Have you ever finished in the top 10 of the Sporting class? Then you are advised to register in the Expert class.

In the Expert class, the most experienced teams compete for eternal glory and the main prize: their name engraved in the “SLS harington”.

Costs (VAT included)

The all-in entry fee for the 61st edition of the SLS is € 3,250 per crew.
This includes:
– 4 hotel nights during the rally, including the Tuesday evening prior to the start (an overnight stay on the Saturday evening after the finish is not included);
– based on a double room;
– all breakfasts, lunches and dinners for 2 people;
– festive ‘walking dinner’ and award ceremony during the festive evening on Saturday evening;
– rally shields and stickers;
– all route documents, including maps and explanations afterwards.

Surcharge single rooms

When arranging the hotel rooms, we try to take your preference into account as much as possible: a twin room (with two separate beds) or a double room (with one large bed). You are reminded that you must indicate this preference separately when registering; However, due to limited availability, we cannot guarantee this choice.

If you want to be sure of separate beds, you can book two single room in the hotels selected by us, the extra costs for this is € 800 per team.

Finish and price giving

The price giving ceremony with ‘walking dinner’ on Saturday evening 30 August is included for participants. Partners of both crew members are very welcome; it is a great opportunity to involve them in the sphere of SLS. Tickets for the award ceremony are available for € 50 each, you must indicate this when registering.

If you want to spend the night in Scheveningen after the price giving ceremony: there are plenty of options in various hotels, including of course the Kurhaushotel. You have to make this booking yourself, there are no hotel accommodations in Scheveningen booked by SLS.

Enamelled badge

For those who are interested, a beautiful ‘car badge’ is also available for the 61st edition, the costs for which are € 50 per badge.

Business registration

You can opt for a business registration for the SLS 2024. The costs for a business registration are € 4,000 excluding VAT. With a business registration, an advertisement to be delivered by you will be published via our communication lines. You will receive an invoice directly in your company name.

Payments

When you register for participation in the SLS 2025, you must transfer a deposit of € 1,000 to our bank account NL25ABNA0249303205 BIC: ABNANL2A in the name of the Classic SLS Foundation, stating “SLS 2025” and the name of the two crew members.  If you are admitted – possibly after the draw – the remaining amount needs to be credited to our bank account by June 1st, 2025 at the latest. For subscriptions made on or after June 1st, 2023, the registration amount is due at once at the moment of registration.

If you have not been drawn, your deposit will be returned within two weeks after the draw and you will be placed on our reserve list.

Your participation is only final after the full payment due has been received. You will receive the acceptance letter with confirmation a few weeks before the start. The cancellation policy stated in the following applies to the registration.

Cancellation / force majeure

If you cancel your participation after registration, regardless of the reason for cancellation, you owe the following:
– If you cancel before 1 February 2025, you will receive a refund of the registration fee you paid, reduced by € 1,000.
If a replacement team can be admitted from the waiting list, you will also receive your deposit back;
– if you cancel after 1 February but before 1 June 2025: you will still owe the full registration fee.
If, in consultation with the organization, another team from the waiting list can be registered in the same class, the registration fee paid by you will be refunded, less € 1,000;
– after 1 June 2025: cancellation will result in the loss of the registration and the registration fees already paid;
– In case of cancellation by the organization, at least 20% of the registration fee paid will be refunded.

Registration

Registrations are strictly personal and can not be transferred to third parties without written permission from the organisation. The organisation also reserves the right to refuse registrations.

By submitting your registration data, you declare that you have read these terms and conditions and in particular the privacy rules that SLS applies and you agree to these terms and conditions of participation.

PLEASE NOTE:

During your registration, we will ask you for passport and car details and we will ask you to upload photos of the driver, navigator and car immediately. We need this data to be able to record overnight stays and parking spaces. Without photos and these details, you will not be able to complete your registration. So keep passports, license plate and photos handy!

Registration

For registration please complete the (Dutch) online registration form and inform us by sending an email to info@slsclassic that the deposit of € 1.000 has been paid. Do not forget to mention the crew names in both the payment and the e-mail.
